The Canyon Dive Site

The Canyon is one of Dahab's most iconic dive sites, attracting adventurous divers from around the world. Famous for its narrow vertical crack in the seabed that opens up into an underwater passage, this site offers an unforgettable exploration experience for advanced and deep-certified divers.

The dive begins with a swim across a beautiful coral garden to reach the entry point of the canyon. Descending through a small opening at around 20 meters, divers can follow the interior all the way to a depth of over 30 meters. The inside is illuminated by beams of light filtering through the cracks, creating a mystical and photogenic atmosphere.

Diving Tips & Conditions

Due to depth and enclosed spaces, The Canyon is best suited for divers with Advanced Open Water certification and excellent buoyancy control. A local guide is essential to navigate the entry, exit, and deeper chambers safely. Keep an eye out for glassfish, lionfish, pipefish, and nudibranchs along the walls.
