Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD)
Want to learn to dive a little deeper, improve your navigation skills or see the wonders of the underwater world at night?
Extend your adventures in diving with the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. This gives you the opportunity to explore the more specialized diving styles and learn new techniques. Enjoying 5 dives in a minimum of 2 days with your instructor, accompanied by some minimal Knowledge Development (no exam and no DVD to watch) you will be certified to dive to 30 meters.
If you find you don’t have time, you can do any of the 5 Advanced dives (known by PADI as Adventure Dives) individually which will contribute to the AOWD certification gaining you credit for each of the dives completed. If you don’t complete all 5 Adventure dives this time, no problem! Pay only for the Adventure Dives completed and the credit gained for each one can be used later to finish the full advanced course – anywhere in the world.
To become advanced you will complete the following elements:
- 5 Adventure Dives: Deep, Drift, Naturalist, Navigation & Night
- 5 Knowledge Development Sessions
REQUIREMENTS
- To participate on the course an individual must be a minimum of 12 years old. If the individual is 12 years old he/she must have a parent or guardian to sign forms on his/her behalf. Note: 12 – 14 year olds earn the Junior Advanced Open Water Diver Certificate.
- Must already be certified as PADI Open Water diver.

Please note none of our courses include the course manual and certification, PADI manual and certification is additional €70 The course manual must be purchased separately for use during the course and as a future reference.
